Extensive walks across meadows and through forests, ascents to the local mountain, the Mirnock (2104 m), Kneipp treatments according to Sebastian Kneipp, resting at numerous viewing or resting places and much more, in the middle of the gentle Carinthian Nockberge mountains.
Picnic at the starry balcony.
When the sun slowly takes its leave over Lake Millstätter See, then you should make your way to the Sternenbalkon. In your hand a well-filled picnic basket with delicacies from the Mirnock farmers of the Weltenberg: bacon, sausage and cheese specialties, curd spread with fresh herbs and freshly baked house bread. Accompanied by a bottle of elder juice or a glass of sparkling wine. As a sweet conclusion you can enjoy homemade "Mirnockaugen", a sweet yeast dough pastry refined with jam.

Snowshoeing - on silent soles through the winter landscape.
When there is enough natural snow, you can explore the silent and white-covered natural landscape on snowshoes. The snow crunches quietly underfoot, the sun's rays make the snow glisten and you hike in silence where the Slow Trail and the Kneipp Panorama Trail Mirnock run in summer.
Snowshoes can be rented directly at Alpengasthof Bergfried by reservation and at a price of € 10,00 per person. 4 pairs are available on site.
Tobogganing - Down the mountain on two wheels.
When Frau Holle shakes her beds sufficiently, the toboggan run from the Bergfried-Hütte to the Alpengasthof is prepared. Whether big or small, old or young - roaring down the mountain on two toboggans is fun for the whole family. Especially when the natural landscape glistening with powder snow passes by to the right and left.
The toboggan run is 1.2 kilometres long and is in operation from December to February, provided there is enough natural snow. Sledges can be borrowed free of charge. There are a limited number of these available.
